Why Host an Intern

You test drive a car before you buy it. Why not test drive a new candidate before hiring them? Well, you might not be looking to hire on a full-time employee, but I’m sure you get the point.

Interns can bring a lot to the table. They might not have years and years of experience, but that doesn’t always matter at the end of the day. You’ll likely find that their new perspectives and ideas will improve the way you do business.

It’s easy for long-term staff to get stuck in a routine. Interns can mix things up and are usually up to date on the latest technologies. Interns are hardworking, willing to learn, and grateful that you are giving them their first professional opportunity in Australia.

On top of that, many candidates come from overseas and speak multiple languages. You might find just the right person who can help launch your companies new division over in Europe or Asia.

If you’re too busy with your current workload, take on an intern to help share some of the responsibility. Don’t underestimate what they are capable of. They can free up your time to focus on the big picture stuff.

Best of all, hiring on an intern costs you nothing. They get paid in experience and Career of the Day handles all of the compliance.
