What is the Industry Experience Program?

Industry Experience Programs are relevant work experience in a particular job or career field. That way a student, a recent graduate or someone changing careers can gain knowledge and understanding on their future career path.

What kinds of Industry experience postions are available?

There is a wide variety of fields available from both the private and not-for-profit sectors of the job market. Industry Experience may be paid as well as unpaid, for credit or not-for-credit, and may be pursued anytime of the year.

Can I do an Industry Experience in my field of study?

We currently have a variety of available fields in Business Administration, Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Banking and Information Technology.

Where can I do an Industry Experience?

We currently have a huge network of companies based in Melbourne ready to accept our interns but we can also place you anywhere you would like in Australia if there are available positions.

Do I get university credits from the Industry Experience?

Yes, if your home university requires Industry Experience to complete the degree.

I’m not a native English speaker, is that a problem?

No. You have to have a sufficient understanding of the English language as you will be doing your Industry Experience in an English speaking environment.

Process and Cost

What's the application process?

First you contact us to discuss your profile and let us know of your interest. You send us your application with the application fee so we can start immediately negotiating with companies and searching for your Industry Experience. Then we invite you for interview training and you get the interview offers you asked for by paying the Industry Experience fee. If the interview succeeds you can begin your Industry Experience otherwise we’ll keep on sending your resume until you secure a position.

How much will it cost me?

We offer a variety of packages where you can choose the one that suits you best. Please consult our fees and costs section for more details.

Why do I pay before I get the Industry Experience?

You pay us before you get the Industry Experience so we can process your application, train you on interviews and arrange everything with the interested employers. We can guarantee you’ll get interviews matched to your needs.

I've never done an interview before. Is there interview training?

Yes, there is. We can provide you with the right training and techniques to prepare you to step up confidently and secure the position.

What if you don't provide me with interview offers?

It’s guaranteed you’ll get interview offers that match your needs.

What if I fail on my interviews?

The interview training will help you understand the process and boost your confidence and skills to maximise your chances of getting the Industry Experience. If you’re having difficulties getting an Industry Experience, we will continue to provide you with interview offers from host organisations until you get the Industry Experience position to match your needs.

I'm not a student anymore. I'm I still eligible for an Industry Experience?

Anyone can apply, whether a student, a recent graduate, changing careers or someone who’s interested in some work experience in Australia.

Getting Started

Am I going to get paid?

The majority of the Industry Experience we provide are non-paid positions. However, there are paid positions available. Allowances in paid positions vary depending on the host organisation, your personal experience and position. We can agree a monthly allowance anywhere in between AUD $400-1000.

Will I get a certificate at the end of my Industry Experience?

A certificate can be obtained upon request.

How much will it cost me to apply for a visa and how long does the process take?

Visa applications and costs vary, depending on the length of your stay and the type of visa. Please consult the Department of Immigration and Citizenship of the Australian Government for full details otherwise you may contact the Australian embassy in your home country.

Can I get a job at the end of the Industry Experience?

Your chances of getting a job after you finish the Industry Experience are much higher since you’ll already have work experience in your professional field. It’s also possible, your host company to offer you a contract if you are an outstanding performer.
