Why Host an Intern
You test drive a car before you buy it. Why not test drive a new candidate before hiring them? Well, you might not be looking to hire on a full-time employee, but I’m sure you get the point.
Interns can bring a lot to the table. They might not have years and years of experience, but that doesn’t always matter at the end of the day. You’ll likely find that their new perspectives and ideas will improve the way you do business.
It’s easy for long-term staff to get stuck in a routine. Interns can mix things up and are usually up to date on the latest technologies. Interns are hardworking, willing to learn, and grateful that you are giving them their first professional opportunity in Australia.
On top of that, many candidates come from overseas and speak multiple languages. You might find just the right person who can help launch your companies new division over in Europe or Asia.
If you’re too busy with your current workload, take on an intern to help share some of the responsibility. Don’t underestimate what they are capable of. They can free up your time to focus on the big picture stuff.
Best of all, hiring on an intern costs you nothing. They get paid in experience and Career of the Day handles all of the compliance.
How Does it Work?
The process is simple. It works like this:
1. You fill out a quick enquiry form with some details about you’re looking for in a candidate.
2. We then give you a call to finalise the details and find out a bit more about your company.
3. We match your requirements with the skill set of the candidates in our pool and if we don’t have anyone that matches your requirements, we will find someone for you.
4. We send you only the shortlisted candidates that we feel will be perfect for the role.
5. We arrange absolutely everything on your behalf, including interviews, insurances and anything else that may pop up during the process.
6. Best of all, it’s completely free for our Host Companies. All we ask is that you provide a great learning experience for the candidates.
Fill out the enquiry form and one of our team members will contact you to tell you more about how it all works.
